REinstitute Director Kurtis Smith--A hurricane Katrina survivor and relief leader who has coordinated
over $5 million worth of volunteer relief work since the Hurricane Katrina catastrophe. Smith is a Lutheran Director of Christian
Outreach with a Master's Degree from Concordia Seminary--St. Louis, is certified in disaster management through
the Emergency Management institute, and has taught disaster outreach to more than 5000 volunteers. He is also a Fellow
with the International Academy of Apologetics, Evangelism and Human Rights. Early in 2007, Smith received
the "On Your Side" award from New Orleans' NBC affiliate, WDSU-Channel 6. He gives glory to God for the award
and believes that the thousands of volunteers, and his wife and children who enable him to serve in the disaster zone, really
all deserve the award. Smith is available as a speaker or consultant.

Rev. David Buss--As the Executive
Director of the LCMS Southern District's "Recovery Assistance, Inc.," Buss is a leader in Lutheran relief
work. When he was pastoring Trinity Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge, LA, it became a key relief operation center after Hurricane
Katrina. He then coordinated and equipped the development of multiple volunteer relief camps across Louisiana and Mississippi
including Camp Atonement--Metarie, LA, Camp Hope--Slidell, LA Camp Restore--New Orleans, LA, and Camp Biloxi--Biloxi,
MS. Buss was integral in the founding of REinstitute, LINCNewOrleans, and Southern District Recovery Assistance, Inc. He is
available as a speaker or consultant.

Rev. Robert W. Smith--An internationally
renowned educator and expert on service learning, Smith has served as a missionary in over a dozen countries, helping to lead
the initial Lutheran response in Afghanistan after the fall of the Taliban, as well as Christian tsunami relief efforts in
Indonesia. He recently retired as the Director of Student Activities and Alumni Affairs for the Universitas Pelita Harapan
(University of Light and Hope) in Indonesia and now resides in Michigan. Rev. Smith has taught professionally at all levels
of education and is the author of "Keep Me...From Evil, Harm and Fear." Smith is available as a speaker or consultant.

Mr. Carl Brul--Mr. Carl Brul is Chairman of the Board for Recovery Assistance, Inc., the umbrella agency for
REinstitute. Brul is a former project manager with Delta Air Lines, and senior instructor for their ground training department.
Brul was also a corporate representative with the Air Transport Association, doing liaison with U.S. Customs, Immigration,
Public Health and Agriculture. He shares an inspirational story of his own journey into volunteerism after Hurricane Katrina and enjoys encouraging
corporate America to join in volunteer life. Brul was integral in the development of several volunteer camps in the Greater
New Orleans area. Brul is available as a speaker or consultant.
